Structured Cabling Standards

Structured cabling standards are industry recognized minimum requirements for the physical layer infrastructure that supports communication and data networks. Structured cabling standards define the physical, electrical and fire safety requirements for the intended network application. Standard setting bodies for network cabling include Telecommunication Industries Association (TIA) and the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA).
